I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado and specialize in working with children, pre-teens, and teens who are struggling with stress, anxiety, depression, self-harm, anger and aggression, low self-esteem and trauma experiences. By using Synergetic Play Therapy techniques I focus on helping the child shift their nervous system and find regulation through connection, play, mindfulness and attunement.
I am passionate about care-giver burnout. If you are an adult, parent, or helping professional struggling with overwhelm and burn-out related symptoms I can help you regain a sense of balance and peace in your life. As a clinician trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, I utilize a combination of approaches in my work with clients.
Stressful events in our lives disrupt our balance, which can create dysregulation in our emotional and bodily systems. When our systems are overloaded we begin to experience stress, anxiety, depression and burn-out. Let me help you or your child find stability with my practices.
I am dedicated to supporting clients in overcoming their challenges and fostering growth so that they may become the most thriving versions of themselves. My journey into the realm of psychology began at Michigan State University, where I was fortunate to receive guidance from esteemed mentors and professors. As a research assistant, I delved into the intricate connections between the mind, morality, physiology, and culture.
Driven by a passion for personal growth, I embarked on a path of self-discovery in my early 20s, redirecting my focus from athletics to pursue a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, followed by a Master's Degree in Mindfulness-Based Transpersonal Therapy.
Specializing in play therapy, somatic therapy, and EMDR, I work with children, teens, adults, and couples grappling with issues such as reactivity, anxiety, depression, shame, anger, aggression, trauma, and dissociation. My approach involves empowering clients to manage their nervous systems and triggers effectively, facilitating resolution of entrenched patterns, and fostering a sense of empowerment in their lives.
